The Cartoon Orbit Newbie Guide.  The Basics of Cartoon Orbit 101.  Enjoy.

Okay a lot of people have never heard of CartoonNetwork.com or Cartoon Orbit.  So out of fairness to those who don't know what it is I will explain it step by step as best I can. Getting a cartoon orbit account is completely free. 

First go to http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/
Next you will see a box in the lower left hand corner of the screen.  This is the orbit login box where you will enter your username and password once you sign up for an account.

Step one:
Now click "join now".  A pop up window will come up.  It will have a name chosen at random.  If you don't like that name click "choose a different name".  It will bring up another name.  If you like it click "choose this name".  If not click "random name" and it will bring up another name.  Continue to do this until you find a name you like then click "choose this name".
Now enter in your birthday. Click on each section and a drop down menu comes up.  Scroll down until you come to each part of your birthday and click on it to confirm it.  This completes step one.

Now click next to move on to step two:
Here you can enter your email address and create your password for your account and sign up for Toonflash Cartoon Networks email newsletter. Orbit will send an email with your username and password.  Write it down so you don't lose it. It will also Confirm your orbit name and you birthday to make sure it is correct.  It also lets you see the privacy policy and terms of use. 

Now for the next step:  Orbit will register your account and log you in.  The pop up window will say "You're In".  It shows your orbit name and your password.  It will also tell you an email of your info is on its way.  You will see a picture of courage the cowardly dog next to your starter pack: 5 starter cToons, 12 gToons and 400 orbit points.  Now close the pop up window if it doesn't close automatically.

Now that you have an acount and are signed in lets explore a bit shall we:

The orbit login box in the lower left hand corner has many features:  You enter your orbit name and password to sign in and log out of your account; you can enter orbit codes one at a time then hit "submit" to earn a free cToon; follow the links to explore: update your cZone; gToons; buy cToons and orbit auctions.  We will cover each section in detail shortly.

Let's set up your cZone:
You can do this one of 2 ways: 1. click on update your cZone in the login box.   This will take you to your cZone.  2 click on the blue box up at the top of the screen that says orbit.  This brings you to orbit central.  To the right hand side of the screen you will see a box divided into sections with its own drop down menu.  From here you can get access to anywhere in orbit from your cZone to cMart to the auction house and gToon arena. 

Once you get teleported to your cZone you will see your cZone name and a preselected background and face icon.  To change these: on the bottom right hand corner of the screen you will see 2 buttons: my buddies and my profile.  Click on my profile.  This will take you to your profile so you can customize it how you want it.  To change your icon click on "change face" and a pop up menu opens.  Click on the image you like in the category you want.  Do the same for the background. You can choose which cartoon world you want your cZone to be.  You can also change your password, email address, delete your account if you decide you don't want it anymore and cancel any email subsciptions to toonflash. Now go back to your cZone.

Now the fun begins.  Click on the yellow button that says "click here to build".  From here you can select a background for your cartoon world and add cToons to your cZone.  Lets click change my "background".  A window opens with many choices.  Choose the one you like the best by clicking on it and close the window.  Now we are ready to add cToons to your cZone.  To do this click on "grab my cToons".  Another window opens and shows all your cToons.  Click on the ones you want to display and they will appear in your cZone.  Close the window when finished.  Now we can organize the toons to look nice.  Each one has an orange box around it.  Use you mouse to position them where you want within your zone.  When finished click the yellow button again to set it in place.  Congrats you have just decorated your cZone.  Sometimes a cToon will go back into your inventory when you take it out to display it.  This is a glitch on orbits side that they are working on. To take cToons off of your cZone just click the yellow button and drag the toons off the page and they will go back into your inventory for safe keeping.  You can change your background anytime.  You can also change your cToon world by going through the profile feature again.  Each world has a different set of backgrounds to display your cToons.

cToons are electronic trading cards used here at orbit.  They come in many shapes, sizes and styles and yes some of them are animated when you click on them in someones cZone.  Each one has its own info card.  Older cards are quite valuable.

You can earn points by visiting other people's cZones. Four points per zone and 50 points just for logging into your account each day.
To visit other zones all you have to do is find where you want to start.  You can start from your cZone by clicking on the buttons towards the bottom of the screen.  It will say "jump to a random cZone".
